Mentor Text-Science: The Cloud Book

Happy Sunday Everyone! I am linking up with the Collaboration Cuties today with their Mentor Text Linky! Today is all about the books we use for science!

My kids LOVE being read aloud to! I usually try and introduce a topic with a read aloud. I just used The Cloud Book by Tomie dePaola to introduce clouds! Its a wonderful book that talks about the types of clouds and even myths that have started from cloud shapes.

Of course I did not take a picture of the activity we did but I used Krazy About Kiddos  activity about clouds!! She has the worksheet on her blog for FREE! It looks like this:

Enjoy the rest of your weekends!!

  2. I haven't used this book to teach clouds yet! How cute and I love Tomie dePaola! Thanks for suggesting this!! We do a similar activity with cotton balls and this year we played with shaving cream (which was a huge hit with my 4th graders- who knew!)

Thanks so much for linking up!
